Garden & Villas Resort Rebrands as Botania Relais and Spa

New for 2020 Garden & Villas Resort will re-open as a 5 star resort called Botania Relais and Spa, Ischia.

What’s in a name…

Botania (taken from the Swahili for Botanica) resonates the world and life of plants and for this reason the owners felt that it truly represented the resort, which is surrounded by over 7 acres of lush greenery and stunning nature.

What’s new…

The move to become a 5 star property has involved many changes. Some of the key ones are:

The resort is reducing the number of guest bedrooms to 48, in order to increase the size of each unit.  Bedrooms now start at 32 sqm and range up to the 68 sqm suites.  In addition each will have a terrace with outdoor loggia – fully furnished for relaxation, a minibar with complimentary soft drinks, a Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary WI-FI an MP3 player and speakers.

The resort will now only welcome guests aged 12 and above.

A second restaurant called “IL MIRTO” will enrich the guest’s choice of dining options.  This vegetarian restaurant and will only open for dinner.  It is smaller than “IL CORBEZZOLO” with its beautiful outdoor terrace, which is open all day from 12.30pm.

A new SPA has been added offering a range of regenerative and innovative, anti-stress and slimming treatments.  More treatments will continue to be added.  There is a fully equipped Technogym fitness area and collective yoga classes are available every morning.  Alternatively you can book an instructor or jogging trainer for single sessions, on request

Two new freshwater pools, with amazing hilltop views

Among the many new guest experiences, there are weekly cookery and artisan ceramics classes.  Guests can head to one of the designated green areas ideal for artists or avid readers (or writers!) and enjoy swing chairs hanging from trees and hammocks to rest in the shade of fragrant pines and olive trees.

The number of resort staff to cater for the guest’s needs has increased from 32 to 48.

Renovation and enhancement works continue to take place throughout the winter months. There is still investment being made in the gardens with the addition of more plants and flowers being added.
