Last weekend, Jonathan and a group of fellow travel professionals flew to Alicante in Spain After a 20 minute drive, they arrived at Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf and Spa, their home for the next two days.

La Manga Club is an exclusive resort with a focus on sport and leisure. Located in the region of Murcia, Spain, La Manga Club sits next to the Mediterranean Sea in the Calbanque Natural Park.

This year, Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf and Spa has undergone a refurbishment, ensuring continued high standards and comfort.
On arrival at the hotel, Jonathan and his travel companions enjoyed lunch at Le Buffet restaurant followed by a tour of the hotel including the tennis centre. With 12 dining locations, guests are spoilt for choice when staying at La Manga Club. A highlight at Le Buffet Restaurant is their unrivalled luxury brunch which includes an abundant selection of fresh seafood, incredible meat options, delicious Iberian ham, salads and an extensive offering of desserts. Live music adds to the experience.
The spa beckoned that afternoon. The spa is designed to offer complete relaxation and wellbeing with a comprehensive fitness centre, hydrotherapy area and a full list of treatments available.
Dinner at Asia that evening stood out for the group. Asia offers a wide variety of incredible Asian dishes using the best ingredients, herbs and spices from the area. In addition, the Grand Club Lounge is a private area reserved for Hyatt members, enabling them to enjoy an exclusive dining experience with personalised service.
After an impressive breakfast the next day, the group travelled the short distance to Cartagena where they visited the Roman Foro and Theatre. For more than 3,000 years, Cartagena has been the scene of some of the most outstanding events in history. The city offers so much to see and and is one of the most appealing destinations of the Mediterranean.
Returning to the hotel, drinks at Al Viento were followed by a relaxing lunch at La Cascada restaurant. La Cascada is located next to the adults only infinity swimming pool, a spot of peace and relaxation with modern and carefully selected cuisine as well as cocktails and Champagne.
The hotel offers golf clinics for budding Tiger Woods so the team were able to benefit from an afternoon of expert tuition and in some cases, improved their swing. A well deserved cocktail followed at the Last Green however they had to learn to make themselves. Cocktail making workshops are a popular activity at the hotel. Their last evening was spent at Amapola Gastronomic Restaurant. Amapola offers an authentic gastronomic experience accompanied by a magnificent cellar of Spanish and International wines.
On the last morning they enjoyed a leisurely morning before departing for the airport and their flight back to London.
